Coalsnaughton is located in Central Scotland, not far from Stirling. This web site offers local information, community news and advertising for local businesses. We will also shortly be generating a new site section in support of the local community project.
Registration under the Data Protection Act 1998 is now complete. The registrant is Gerry Shields, 34 Alloa Road, Fishcross, FK10 3HX, who is therefore responsible for storage and security of all captured images from the CCTV systems in Coalsnaughton. In order to fully satisfy any concerns related to the use of images he will also be verified through the Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) system which will take several weeks yet. Until such time as this process is complete work on moving the community camera system forward will be on hold.
Concerns have been raised with regard to the public broadcast of these images which have been taken on board. We will therefore be refering the matter back to the council to raise with the local community their thoughts on this issue. Until such time as the local community has endorsed public broadcast through this website this facility will not be made available.
While this has been put on hold work is continuing on the launch of Clacks.co which will offer a new local resource for communities throughout Clackmannanshire. This is being provided by a cooperation between NSDesign, RedGerry.com, GRP Canopies Plc. & Ronnie Fisher as part of a continuing policy of providing local facilities and support through Internet portals.
